Welcome to PocketParts — an electronic components inventory management application developed by ProfiDev.

We take user privacy seriously and strive to ensure transparency regarding data collection, use, and protection. This Privacy Policy describes how our application processes information.

2. Data Collection

2.1. Personal Data

PocketParts does NOT collect personal data from users. The application does not require registration, account creation, or provision of any personal information.

2.2. Application Data

The application stores the following data locally on your device:

• Inventory data: information about electronic components (name, category, quantity, storage location, etc.)
• Photos: images of components taken through the application
• Metadata: date added, last modified, and other service information
• Application settings: user preferences, selected interface language

All this data is stored exclusively on your device in a local database (Room Database) and is not transmitted to the developer or third parties.

2.3. Data NOT Collected

• Name, email address, phone number, or other contact information
• Device location (GPS)
• Device information (IMEI, serial number, etc.)
• Analytics or tracking data
• Data about user actions outside the application

3. Data Usage

Since the application does not collect personal data and works completely offline, data is used exclusively locally on your device for:

• Displaying and managing your electronic components inventory
• Organizing components by categories and locations
• Searching and filtering components
• Tracking quantity and managing stock
• Displaying photos and datasheet links
• Saving your settings and preferences

Data is not used for advertising, analytics, profiling, or any other purposes unrelated to the application's functionality.

4. Data Storage

4.1. Local Storage

All application data is stored locally on your device in the Room Database. Data is stored in a protected application directory accessible only to the application itself.

4.2. Backup

The application provides a backup function through Storage Access Framework (SAF). When creating a backup:

• You independently choose the save location (local storage or cloud, such as Google Drive)
• The backup is created manually at your request
• The developer does not have access to your backups
• If you choose cloud storage (e.g., Google Drive), the privacy policy of the corresponding service applies

4.3. Data Deletion

All application data is deleted when the application is removed from your device. You can also manually delete data through the application settings or by clearing application data in Android settings.

5. Data Sharing with Third Parties

The application does not use:

• Analytics services (Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, etc.)
• Advertising networks
• Tracking services
• External APIs for data transmission
• Developer servers

The only exception is if you independently use the backup function to save data to cloud storage (e.g., Google Drive). In this case, the privacy policy of the corresponding cloud service applies.

6. Application Permissions

PocketParts requests the following permissions to ensure functionality:

6.1. CAMERA

Usage: For photographing components.

Access: Permission is requested only when using the corresponding functions. Photos are saved locally on the device.

6.2. READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

Usage: For creating backups, exporting data to CSV, and accessing files for restoration.

Access: Used only when performing backup or export operations at the user's request through Storage Access Framework (SAF).

6.3. Internet

The application does NOT require internet access permission and can work completely offline. If you use the backup function to save to the cloud, internet access is provided by the corresponding cloud application (e.g., Google Drive), not PocketParts.

7. User Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over your data:

• Right to access: You can view all your data directly in the application
• Right to modify: You can edit, add, or delete data at any time
• Right to deletion: You can delete all data by removing the application or clearing data through Android settings
• Right to export: You can export your data to CSV format at any time
• Right to backup: You can create backups of your data manually

No contact with the developer is required to perform any data operations, as all operations are performed locally on your device.

8. Data Security

We take measures to ensure the security of your data:

• Local storage: All data is stored in a protected application directory accessible only to the application itself
• Database encryption: Room Database uses built-in Android security mechanisms
• No network access: The application does not connect to the internet, eliminating the possibility of data leakage through the network
• Permission control: The application requests only necessary permissions and uses them exclusively for stated purposes

However, remember that the security of your data also depends on the security of your device. It is recommended to use screen lock and regularly update the Android operating system.

9. Children's Data (COPPA Compliance)

PocketParts does not collect personal data from users, including children's data. The application complies with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) requirements and can be used by people of any age.

Since the application works completely offline and does not collect data, parents do not need to worry about their children's privacy when using the application.

10. Changes to Privacy Policy

We may periodically update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you of any significant changes by publishing a new version of the policy on this page with the date of the last update.

It is recommended to periodically review this page to stay informed about any changes in how we protect your privacy.

Continued use of the application after changes are published means you agree to the updated policy.
